Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Adeleye Ifá Academy website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 17 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and you agree to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Monthly Subscription: Access to premium academy content requires a paid subscription of $100 USD per month, processed through Stripe.

Odù of Ifá Purchases: Individual odù may be purchased on their own or in packs as offered on the Service, granting permanent access to those odù.

Annual Account Maintenance Fee: All accounts — whether subscribed or not — are subject to an annual account maintenance fee of $20 USD per year. This fee is paid manually by the user each year. The year you sign up is not charged: the first fee is due in January of the following year. If the maintenance fee is not paid, the account will be suspended immediately upon expiration of the year, and access will remain suspended until the fee is paid.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time, in one step, from My Account. When you cancel, the subscription stops renewing and you will not be charged again; your account stays active and you keep all the odù you have already received.

Refunds: All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for subscription payments, odù purchases, or the annual maintenance fee. By subscribing or making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

Content Already Received: The odù you have received through your subscription remain yours even if you cancel it: cancelling does not remove anything you already have.

All content on the Service — including courses, lessons, audio recordings, video content, text, images, and the Adeleye Ifá Academy brand — is the intellectual property of Adeleye Ifá Academy and is protected by copyright laws.

You may NOT:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute any course content
• Record, screenshot, or screen-capture lessons
• Share your account credentials with others
• Resell or redistribute any content from the Service
• Use the content for commercial purposes without written permission

The Service provides educational content on Ifá tradition, including teachings on ẹbọ, spiritual work, ritual practices, and the preparation of traditional medicines, presented within the context of the Ifá tradition and the Adeleye lineage.

Educational Purpose: All such content is provided for educational and cultural purposes within the tradition. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice and is not a substitute for the services of a licensed professional.

Use at Your Own Risk: Any spiritual work, ritual, ẹbọ, or preparation you choose to perform based on the content is undertaken entirely at your own risk and on your own responsibility. You are solely responsible for your own actions, decisions, health, and safety.

No Guarantee of Results: Spiritual and traditional practices are matters of faith and tradition. Adeleye Ifá Academy makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee of any specific outcome, result, or effect from any practice described in the Service.

Assumption of Risk and Release: To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risk associated with performing any practice learned through the Service, and you release Adeleye Ifá Academy, the Adeleye Temple, its administrator, instructors, and lineage members from any liability for any harm, loss, or damage arising from your application of the content.

The Service includes community features (chat, comments, and other interactions) where you may post text, voice recordings, images, and files ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content but grant Adeleye Ifá Academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate it within the Service.

Zero Tolerance Policy: You agree that there is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Any user who posts objectionable content or engages in abusive behavior will be removed from the Service. Reports of objectionable content or abusive users are reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours.

"Objectionable content" includes, without limitation: hate speech, harassment, threats, sexually explicit material, graphic violence, content that sexualizes minors, spam, impersonation, and any content that violates applicable law. You are solely responsible for your User Content and any consequences of posting it.

Every message posted in the community can be reported via the report action. Each user can block any other user; content from blocked users is removed from your feed instantly. Reports and blocking events are forwarded to moderators, who act within 24 hours by removing infringing content and expelling offending users.

Community messages are automatically scanned for prohibited language and imagery. Messages matching our filters may be blocked, hidden, or flagged for moderator review without prior notice.

You agree not to: (a) post objectionable content as defined above; (b) harass, threaten, or impersonate other users; (c) attempt to access another user's account or non-public areas of the Service; (d) use the Service to distribute malware or unsolicited bulk messages; (e) attempt to circumvent moderation tools or content protection.

The Service may include an online store for physical products (ceremonial items, physical texts, etc.). Purchases are processed through Stripe. All sales are subject to product availability and shipping policies. Sales tax is applied where applicable. Shipping is coordinated directly with the seller.

To protect our content, your account works on one device only. The first device you sign in from is registered to the account; any attempt to sign in from a different one is blocked.

This cannot be undone from within your own account. If you replace your phone, or lose it, or it is stolen, write to us and we release the registered device so you can sign in from the new one. We may authorize more than one device in specific cases, at our discretion.

Sharing your account, or attempting to circumvent this protection, is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adeleye Ifá Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We reserve the right to immediately suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account without prior notice or refund for any violation of these Terms, including sharing content with non-members, recording or screen-capturing lessons, sharing credentials, abusive behavior, harassment, spamming, or attempting to circumvent security measures. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. No refunds will be issued for any remaining subscription period or fees. The administrator's decision is final.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

A contact phone number is required to create a new account. You give it when you register, and you may change it at any time from your account. You may also remove it — if you do, WhatsApp notices stop, because there is no longer a number to send them to. Accounts created before this requirement are not affected: we will invite you to add a number, you may decline, and nothing about your lessons, purchases or access changes if you do. We use it to send you the notices you have asked for; we never publish it on your profile, in community chat, or anywhere other users can see it.

Giving us your number is not permission to message you. They are two separate choices. Notices are sent only for the channels and purposes you have switched on, one by one, in My account › Settings:

• Classes and events on WhatsApp
• Classes and events by email
• Academy news on WhatsApp
• Academy news by email

All four start switched off. You may switch any of them off again at any time from the same screen, and every message we send includes a link back to it.

Messages your account needs are not covered by those switches. Password resets, receipts, payment failures and security notices are part of the service itself and will still reach you if you decline promotional messages.

Who delivers the messages. WhatsApp notices are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.; email notices are delivered through our email provider. Each acts as a processor on our behalf and handles your number or address under its own terms. See the Privacy Policy.

We keep a record of each choice — when you made it, from the app or the website, in which language, and under which version of this text — so that both you and we can tell what was agreed and when. You can see that record on the same screen.
